TXT2Give is closing

Dear TXT2Give user,

Inspired by the successful international JustTextGiving programme, the Vodafone New Zealand Foundation partnered with Fundraise Online (acquired by Everyday Hero in September 2015) to bring TXT2Give to New Zealand in 2014, to allow everyone to engage their generosity and make quick, easy text donations to New Zealand charities Unfortunately, the service has failed to live up to our expectations. We appreciate that having TXT2Give only available to Vodafone customers has limited the number of donations and frustrated supporters who use a different mobile provider. We haven't been able to overcome this problem and without the other providers on board, we can’t maximise the opportunity presented by text donations.

That’s why, as of 31st December 2016 (with the final remittance occurring in early February 2017) we’ll be discontinuing this service.

Currently Vodafone provides Donation TXT services via their SMS partners that allow charities to collect donations of up to $3.00 per TXT, from any network.

Our thanks to all of you for continuing to work so hard to make New Zealand better for us all.

The teams at Vodafone and everydayhero.
